Did you hear? Nintendo had a nice Christmas, giving 5 million good girls and boys Wiis and Nintendo DSs, smashing records left and right. Defensibly, Nintendo would like to brag about its accomplishments now. In its follow-up to NPD sales data that showed Nintendo moving 2 million Wiis and 3 million DSs in the United States, the company points out its many success. It sold over 20 million hardware units in 2008, 10.17 million of those Wiis. That’s never been done before, Nintendo says, with the two platforms breaking the previous record set by its own Nintendo DS in 2007. It sold 8.52 million units that year. Huzzah!(new Image()).src = 'https://capi.connatix.com/tr/si?token=995c4c7d-194f-4077-b0a0-7ad466eb737c&cid=872d12ce-453b-4870-845f-955919887e1b'; cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "995c4c7d-194f-4077-b0a0-7ad466eb737c" }).render("79703296e5134c75a2db6e1b64762017"); }); Nintendo puts it all in perspective, pointing out that Wii was responsible for 55% of all “next generation” home console sales in 2008, with the DS taking 72% of the portable pie. It even racked up 132 million games sold on Nintendo hardware alone, third-parties included. The bragging is simply too much! I love the overall aesthetic of the platform. The animations, visual effects, and sound design make the gaming experience more dynamic and immersive. It's one of the reasons I keep coming back. Sometimes I wish there were more ways to earn rewards through loyalty programs or frequent player bonuses. Adding seasonal events or special challenges could enhance the excitement even further. The variety of games is excellent, including table games like blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, in addition to slots. This keeps the platform interesting and allows me to switch games depending on my mood.
